£36,000 - £38,000 a year

Albert's Standish will be a glamorous 200 cover restaurant and fully stocked cocktail bar with ample external dining and drinking too. In addition, it will feature three event and party rooms, the largest accommodating up to 250 people.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Head Chef.

The Role

Our new Head Chef will ideally be available to start as soon as possible and train in our other sites whilst assisting with the recruitment of the new kitchen team. The successful candidate will have the autonomy to impress, the skill and ability to develop a successful team and the ability to run a high-volume restaurant and event space.

Duties Include:
Overall accountability for standards, quality & consistency within the kitchen operation
HACCP, COSHH, H&S, Payroll & budgeting KPI accountability
Recruiting & Training
Ordering, GP & Stock control
Addressing maintenance issues & ensuring all equipment is in working order
Develop & motivate kitchen team
Staff appraisals





Skills & Experience:
Minimum 2 years’ experience working a Head Chef role within a high volume operation
Strong leadership with a track record of developing a strong team
Exceptional proven ability of Kitchen Management
Outstanding communication
Good understanding of useful computer programmes i.e. Microsoft, Internet Explorer, Outlook, POS
Credentials in Health & Safety, Food Safety & Allergens training
An eye for detail & impeccable standards
Ability to pick-up new systems & procedures quickly
Organised manner with the ability to prioritise
